This is day 3 of my surprise 4 day weekend thanks to ice and snow. David and I have had so much fun playing in the snow and then coming in to drink hot chocolate. He kicked my butt in Scrabble but I am declaring a rematch today.
I can't make it to my Weight Watchers meeting do I weighed on my Wii Fit, they are usually pretty close. I weighed 145.1!!! I am SUPER excited. I am now 16.1 pounds away from my goal weight.
I have to admit that I am slacking on the running. I ran 3 miles last Sunday and I think that was the last time that I ran. I am calling all of the people together that are doing to 1/2 and declaring a checkpoint. I think that every couple of weeks we need to run together just because April seems so far away so it is easy to skip running and think you will just catch up later.

Week 3
I weighed in Saturday and lost .6 pounds. I was excited that there was a loss but a little discouraged about the small amount. I am now up to 2 pounds in weight loss since I have begun going to WW meetings. 3.6 pounds since I actually started WW and exercising.
The topic at the meeting was Get up and Move! Everyone was talking about the exercise that they do and it made me feel a little out of place. One lady was like.. "I can walk 5 minutes in the treadmill" which is great but I can run for 45 minutes on mine. Maybe this group is not the best fit for me. I did think this morning of a great way for people who are just beginning running to do it. If you are lucky enough to have a TV in front of your treadmill then walk during the show and run during commercials. Eventually switch it. Finally just run the whole time! You like that? I do not have a treadmill in front of mine so I have lots of time to think. :)
I decided that I need a great reward for sticking with my training schedule and completing the 1/2 marathon. If someone said, "Amber I will send you and David on a vacation this summer if you complete the 1/2 marathon" there would be no stopping me!

WW Weigh In!
Went to my Weight Watchers meeting this morning and I lost 1.4 pounds. A loss is a loss! I will take it!
Marathon Time!
Running a marathon is on my bucket list. I tried to run the marathon relay last year and was put on the injured list the night before the race. :( I tried for the full in December but never made it past a few miles in my training.
It is that time again..
This time I am SUPER jazzed and in better shape so it is my goal not to quit.
As of now I have not missed any of my training and can run 2 miles without stopping!
Marathon is in April and I am signing up for the half.
Wish me luck!

The Beginning
I am 23 years old 5'3 and weigh 148 pounds. There it is, big and nasty numbers that haunt me and refuse to get smaller. I only put my weight out there because I know that it will change. The point of my blog is to keep me accountable. I am notorious for making plans and then quitting, ESPECIALLY when it comes to exercise. Not this time! I have a goal, a deadline, and an extra special reason for losing weight this time. :)
Here is me and my mom this summer. Consider this my "before"picture.
